User Wishlist

Please note that we generally prefer if wishes are filed in the Bug Tracker, as it offers superior facilities to manage reports and engage in a dialogue with the wish submitter. However if you don't wish to sign up or just want to drop some brainstorming, you can also add it here. Still, please check the List of Inresolved Wishlist Items in the tracker first so you don't duplicate an existing wish.

Notifications

• Different color for OSD when a highlight occurs
• Ability to assign colors to channels for the OSD, so one can see quickly where someone said something.
• user level indicator next to nick (ie @, + etc)
• change konversation icon blinking colour. This could be usefull to understand if the message came from a particular channel.
• Change colour and/or text of messages displayed with "sight on monitor". For example add/drop prefix text (i would like to cancel: "konversation:") and/or colour of displayed messages so that i can see if someone speaks about me, using regexp too.
• notify when someone says something in a chan only if this chan was silent since the X last minutes
• notify event for highlights, not just for own nick written somewhere

Channel organization

• It is neccesary to have an XDCC support that allows to see the offered files in an extra window so you can double click the file you want to download just as xdccklipper does.
• Make the channel bar wrap so it expands downwards or upwards depending on where you've placed your bar giving you two or more rows of channel tabs. Omega 12:11, 3 July 2006 (EDT)
• Tabs on the top for servers and on the bottom the tabs part of that server.
• An option to not close all corresponding tabs when you disconnect from a server. (i.e when you disconnect/quit from a server, keep the tabs for the channels/server open)
• MDI
• A split-screen feature, so you can view multiple IRC channels at once. That would save me from having to do tab-juggling.

This is called "MDI", and is variously called painful and evil. We will probably add something like this at some point --Argonel 10:20, 23 Mar 2005 (EST)

I would not like MDI. Better handle it the way like Konqueror does, so you can open more windows and drag and drop the tabs between them. --Wiedi 11:09, 2 April 2006 (EDT)

Miscellaneous

• Add oppurtunity to use proxy! To be anonimous like "tor", "privoxy", and so on. This should be the first thing to do.
• rename nicknames. So i could finally remember who i'm speaking with.
• in addition to the "/media" script, a script for easily dcc the currently played track (ex: /dccmedia username )
• CTCP-sounds
• sticky formatting, per channel. Ie in #a if I set my text bold and blue I would like it to stay that way, while #b is unaffected (they could well have a no colours policy in #b)
• Be able to give arguments to korganizer, example: korganizer irc://irc.freenode.net/somekindofchannel (Jeroenvrp 17:33, 31 Mar 2005 (EST))
• a seperate column for nicks. (I assume this means the way X-Chat does it. If so I support that wish, if not it should be a seperate wish. =)
• get your nick automatically back after ping timeout
• Transparent background would be nice !
• A file server or an XDCC option
• be able to format the channel output ( time is always in [], nick in <> and so on), server messages with ***
• Tint overlay on background image, such as a white overlay so that text appears more clearly on higher contrast images. Also a do not scroll option for background images.
• Theme engine/support for themes (ala mIRC?)
