From Konversation

Jump to: navigation, search

This article describes the current state of the SVN-version of konversation from user's view. Its not a replacement for bug-reports, but its for small glitches that might have worked just some revisions before.

If not mentioned otherwise all reports are from nobs, running Suse 9.3 (KDE 3.4.0 level b) with this version:

Version 0.19+ #3102 Revision 514970

most important currently

  • prepare 0.20 development

in detail

  • focus lost

if the entry in the application-bar is disabled and you close a tab, konversation loses focus (no more active app); which is even worse because you cannot switch back with alt-tab then

  • notify fails

some entries in "watched nicks" (ISON) are missing; maybe those not sharing a channel? Or still the old bug with too long ISON-lines?

  • global away uses hard coded string

(TODO: make feature request)

  • DCOP interface should offer "connections" instead of "connected servers" as targets

(also TODO...)

  • DCOP should offer a set of functions for standard operations

... and it should handle reactions to "raw" operations correctly (also TODO...)

just fixed

  • revisions between 509389 and 509540 produced memory faults for me
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0875fe40 ***
  • released 0.19 into the wild
